Entrepreneurs Seeking Venture Capital are Often Afraid
Nearly every entrepreneur I have ever met who is seeking venture capital runs around afraid that someone will steal their idea.
They place all their chances of success on the idea, not on their own abilities.
You can have the best idea or concept in the world, but without hard work, no amount of money will make that product a household name.
What typically happens is that these entrepreneurs run around and worry about someone stealing their idea, they allow venture capitalists to give them the run around and basically these inventors are afraid of their own shadow, why? Well, because typically they have never done anything in their lives.
This problem is so prevalent that the entrepreneurs do not realize that the venture capitalists bet on the jockey as much as the horse.
You need to put yourself in the investors shoes, and understand that they hear 100s of new concepts per month and choose only a few, they are not there to steal your idea and if you are really good at what you do, why would they? They would make more money faster than harnessing your hard work ethic, vision and passion and moving forward with you.
Too bad so many entrepreneurs are so scared of their own shadow these days, they would do much better if they had more self-esteem and confidence, of course that comes with time and some success, neither of which are ever easy on the up and coming super entrepreneur, which I assume you are if you are reading my articles on the subject, Good Luck and God's Speed.
